Marriage problem in the Arab world

Marriage in the Arab world is all about the groom financial status, because he will pay the dowry, bridal dress, house, jewelries and gold..etc. it depends on how he will manage it. Marriage have been relying on how can the groom afford to have a bride! Which sounds material and ancient to me! Why we value the marriage with money and wealth rather than, looking at the whole thing as an experience, a new shared lives with adventures, an integration of two worlds. Why don’t we look in similarities between  ourselves like shared interests, hobbies, likes and dislikes. Looking into ourselves, our needs from a relationship, priorities to build a rapport between each other as to have a raw communication with one  another in a friendly manner. Through communication, we find if you are compatible with me, the one who can absorb my ugly side as value my bright side as well. In our world as Arabs, unfortunately we are avoiding good conversation with each other, we are underestimating the power of communication and having some time for each other. We don’t agree on deals or even plan for life, despite holding good intentions for one another. We nurtured with the conservative culture type which is against expressing love and gratitude. This message is for fresh starters, to live with open mentality and have a good relationship.
